what you described are classic flu symptoms vs. cold, and they're pretty much what I had.

not the legs, but general body aching different from my usual ortho stuff.
the doctor I saw said we could do the flu test, but why bother with cost and only 60% efficacy. (did it last year, and it was some dumb co-pay amount just to learn it was a certain flu that had been going around and that the doctor I saw was recovering from herself - another lesson learned, durr.)
