There was a small mom and pop video store that had a rent 3 movies for $5, return by 6 PM next day. One summer, my brother and friends rented

pretty much the entire horror section. Eventually resorting to just going in alpha order, seen it, seen it, seen it, I guess this one....
There was good (Bad Taste), bad (The Stuff) and a bunch of completely unremarkable movies. Though I did see early Cronenberg thanks to that approach (The Brood, Rabid, Shivers). We also learned of Troma films
