So I think the Dem wave may actually happen.

Caveats: IL is reliably blue anyway. Rauner (current Gov) has lower support than Trump (!) so Dems were (most likely) going to win here

The surprising thing for me was Rauner's challenger (Ives). We just don't see that kind of candidate up here. That she gave Rauner such trouble is - pmb Mar 21, 07:50
