about envelope glue: I used to work with a guy who previously worked in a glue ...refinery? he said people peed in the envelope glue.

I reckoned by the time it got to me it was refined all to hell and back, so probs no worse than any other chemicals in there.
Responses:
I dug through a desk drawer this morning and found a fancy envelope moistener stick. I'm going to feel bad if I develop bug eggs.
