The Governor is a leader with ideas. Staff work to implement those ideas.

If someone is a good leader, who will pick good staff, I'm willing to give them a look. As I said, I don't know yet what my look at Nixon will determine, but if she turns out to be a good leader with good ideas who will put together a good staff? Yeah, I'll give her a chance. The governorship isn't a one-person show. The person is basically CEO of NY State. They don't do the legwork on anything, they are the decision-maker over (hopefully) qualified staff.

There's a lot of qualified liberal staff she could hire.
