you see a chest on top of a building, you can either go inside the building and spenf the time searching for the stairway up to the roof to get it, OR you can just build a fucking staircase outside to get up there.

It is not all about building a shelter every game. In fact, you should just be building things to shield you for some fire for when you are healing yourself or if you want to provide yourself a little cover to be able to snipe effectively.
