i don't know what the word is, but i've seriously fooled myself about 3 different times this morning so far?

"i can't find the usb drive that i put in my lunch bag this morning."
"did you look in your lunch bag?"
"no, it's probably not there"
"yeah, you're right. it's definitely not there. don't bother looking."
[a hour later, 30 minutes of which were spent looking for the usb drive]
"i think i'll go get my lunch bag. [opens the bag] heeeey, here's my usb drive!"
