Most STers stayed there for VegaSTravaganza '08. The gamblers seemed to like it pretty well, too.

Also, I think Excal is on the lower end of the "niceness" of the big Vegas hotels. Very few frills, but plenty of fast food and restaurants nearby

At Excal? That's where the masses stay. One idea is to walk to the NYNY taxi stand. Fewer people. -- nm
