Industry’s historical influence on the process of determining what is “healthy” notwithstanding, I don’t necessarily see that being the problem here. -- (edited)

The problem I see is the moralistic impulse to proscribe certain choices under the idea that poor people don’t deserve comfort, and certainly not at our expense. And it’s particularly odious when advanced under the guise of public health.
There are better way to incentivize healthy eating than prohibiting junk food.
