More so than in other parts of the world, Is not that the holocaust was so much worse than other atrocities throughout history, but that he bothered to keep records and numbers of the people he slaughtered. It’s a detailed part of our culture’s historical record.

So, your fading historical memory argument isn’t particularly compelling, in that light.
