Wordy? Would never say that about it. Adams even calls out and mocks wordy American style novels in one of the later book. -- nm*

I like the silliness, story telling and witty banter but there are long stretches of narrative that is outside of the other 3 -- nm

My guess at this interpretation - Random diversions explaining the universe and weird things in it, rather than focussing on a main narrative. -- nm
