Compared to other donors. In 2016, for example, the NRA contributed $1 million spent across 200ish congressional candidates

So around $5k on average. The biggest contribution was to Roy Blunt and that was just $11,900.
For his Senate re-election that year Roy Blunt’s campaign raised almost $16 million. The $12K from the NRA is a drop in the bucket - but NRA support gets Blunt donations and votes from NRA members who are concerned about protecting their gun rights.
Over time, NRA money adds up - Blunt has taken $4.5m from the NRA over 20 years. But it’s still a drop in the bucket compared to the influence the NRA leverages.
