People who say very bad things don’t deserve to work in television. Roseanne should never have been rebooted in the first place.

Social media turns up the volume on offensive statements, but also provides a platform for the perpetrator to be called to account for it. The network executives at ABC no longer had the luxury of ignoring these statements and hoping they’d go away.
