Los Gorditos.


They started out as a taco truck, but have moved into a couple brick-and-mortar places. Probably the closest to authentic Mexican street food we have in Portland these days -- at least according to a few Mexican fraternity brothers from Los Angeles who have the experience to say. :-)

I think it's really good. They said it's "acceptably good" al pastor.

There are a couple restaurants in town that claim to have al pastor, but the frat bros described it as "hipster foodie-obsessed white people food".

I've heard good things about Uno Mas, too (http://unomastaquiza.com/menu.html), but I haven't had a chance to get there yet.
