So, let's recap the HR situation at Will Hunting's job since Thursday at lunch. -- (edited)

Person A -- An employee in Will's direct work group gets poached by another group in the same project/company and is told by HR to report to work today with the new group.
Will's boss finds out Person A accepted the new job on Thursday. Person A has not been released from his current job to jump ship as his job hasn't been posted for replacements. HR thinks this is fine.
Person B -- in Will's extended work group, Person B was hired 45 days ago. Person B has been working for 6 weeks.
Thursday afternoon, Person B was walked off the job by armed security for claiming to have a degree that no one checked for up front. Person B did not have that degree.
Person C -- in Will's extended work group, Person C was terminated for unknown reasons on Thursday and was walked off the job by armed security. Person C has been with us for 3 months.
On Friday, Person C made indeterminate threats that led to Person C's picture being listed on all entryways to Will's building directing 911 calls if Person C is seen.
This further led to a lot of panicked people since well, Person C is former military. Easy Facebook searches found a very disturbed human being.
So today, we had an all-hands meeting to discuss threats and what to do in the event of an issue. Again; Person C's public social media postings indicated issues.

My extended group's manager is dealing with 3 incredibly different but all fucked up in various ways scenarios. In large part because HR is apparently checking *nothing* prior to hiring.
