Does anyone use rings when they workout?

I just purchased a pull up bar and rings for at home and I've never used the rings before. I'm following the recommended routine on r/bodyweightfitness and rings are an important part of the routine.
I'm just curious how much of a learning curve there is in using them. I have decent upper body strength but my core is still weak so some exercises are going to be tough.
