Similar to that stat someone posted a while back about the small number of teams that have made the WC finals since 1970.

12 finals, 7 different teams: Germany/West Germany (6), Brazil (4), Italy (4), Argentina (4), Netherlands (3), France (2), Spain (1).
We're guaranteed to get a new entry to the list this year due to the England-Sweden/Croatia-Russia side of the bracket, but if it's England that emerges, you can just extend the window back four more years and get a similar stat. (1966 WC was England v. West Germany.)
