Right. The thing is that the NBA, more than any other major league is, usually going to be won by the best team. But there were several contenders

and the differences were less dramatic. The great Bulls teams of Jordan still had great series with the Knicks and Pacers and others. But now there are like 3 or 4 top teams and the rest are mediocre to bad.
