Looking only at US Presidents, I don't think Nixon is much more popular among Democrats than he was during his time in office. I think Reagan may be less popular among Dems than he was in the 80s/90s.

From the other side, in recent years I've repeatedly heard conservatives describe Carter as being 'worst President ever' and they haven't warmed to Clinton or Obama.
