so let's talk. I have to go to the troll wedding on 7/28. it's at 2 in hamburg (about 2.5 hours away) and the reception is at 5 in allentown-ish

which is half an hour past that.

I would really prefer to bail on the reception earlyish and just drive home (3 hours). is this super stupid?

note that the wedding hotel is half an hour from the reception, so there'll be no drinking in any case (there is no shuttle). there's no sunday morning activity I'd miss by bailing.

your thoughts?

I have until 7/25 to cancel my hotel. the official wedding hotel is actually pretty expensive, so I kind of lean towards cancelling anyway and hotel tonighting a hotel.
