In response to "In this era, when one side is what the Trump Party has become, it is a binary choice. " by pmb

I'm not talking about those states. If I had been living in one of those states two years ago, I would have voted differently. But in Oregon ...

The final tallies of votes in the 2016 Presidential election were ...

Trump: 782,403
Clinton: 1,002,016
Stein: 50,002
Johnson: 94,231
All others: 72,594

Even if everyone who voted for Stein, Johnson, or any other candidate had instead treated the election as a binary choice, the result would have been exactly the same.

It might have ended up ...

Trump: 999,230
Clinton: 1,002,016

Or it might have ended up ...

Trump: 782,403
Clinton: 1,218,843

But Oregon's five electoral votes still would have been awarded to Sec. Clinton.
