I honestly think the success of Clarkson was what made me actually pay attention, after I heard her first album.
It was like, whoa, what did I miss?

I've never "hated" it, I've just never gotten the mass appeal of the show.

Last season, I was totally won over by Cook. I hope his non-Idol music works out better than the crap he's been forced to do this last year. -- nm
