"On Monday, former ESPN reporter Brett McMurphy reported that Smith, who’d served as Ohio State’s receivers coach since 2012 and as its recruiting coordinator, was the subject of a civil protection order filed by his now-ex-wife, Courtney Smith."

That struck me as odd, how did a former reporter report it? There was a hyperlink under the word report so I clicked on that. It took me to a full write up by this guy in the form of a Facebook post.

Is the dude continuing on as a sports reporter and just posting it on Facebook now? Is it to keep his hand in the game while looking for another job?

Sorry, its way off the point about Meyer and Smith.
