Well shit.

Trish was having a good day in the hospital yesterday, and was real happy when we finished talking at 9 pm

I tried calling her this morning. All they would tell me is that she wasn't in her room, she was in the ICU. Finally spoke to her nurse, then her doctor, and then finally they let me speak with her.

In the middle of the night, her vision went blurry on one side, and she felt real weak. The staff determined that she was having a stroke. They hit her some of that super clot busting medication. The medication worked so well, it opened up her surgical wounds and she started bleeding out and her blood pressure got down to 50/37

They stitched her up and gave her three units of blood, so her blood pressure is up and her heart rate is down. But they are going to keep her in ICU until at least tomorrow.

Trish herself told me she was feeling better, very tired, and willing to kill someone for ice chips. That made me feel better.

It was a very unnerving set of phone calls for me until I got the full story.
