I sat right behind our friends karen and dave at the troll wedding. you may or may not know that karen is the funniest person you've never met.

when the troll first appeared to start walking down the aisle, we=hen we could first get a glimpse of her, karen looked at me with this super laughing wide eyed look like "holy shit" and I had to look away from her immediately and then not watch the troll walking down the aisle because I would have died laughing.
she was just styled so poorly. her dress looked like something out of the hobbit. it looked like she had tried to straighten her hair and gotten bored halfway through. her flowers were dark purple and black with dark green leaves and against her blonde hair and the miles of fiber in her dress, everything looked super incongruous.
karen said to me as we were waiting to leave the church "I hope we're sitting together at the reception because we just have so much to tlak about."
in addition to all of the above, she looked miserable. she didn't smile at all. through the wedding or the reception. I feel so sad for her. maybe she thinks that marriage is like, a next step, what she thinks she wants. but there is no affection at all between her and ross. no sly smiles at one another for no reason. no hands on knees. she doesn't laugh when he talks.
there's more. there's so much more.
