H has been allowed to develop a management style that lacks integrity, as she constantly finds a reason to blame everyone else for delays, issues, complications, etc. If there is a delay getting work done it’s because her engagement team hasn’t met an expectation, which she never communicates. Or it’s because she felt that the client work wasn’t a priority over internal projects (such as writing news pieces, or proposals).
H’s response to conflict is an A or B response scenario. A, she cries, making everyone uncomfortable and trying to force sympathy in others to “persuade” then to her side. B, she blames others and then makes their lives more difficult because she will not accept responsibility for issues; or tries to placate clients by blaming others then promising impossible results that require her engagement team to work significant additional hours (staying late, etc.) because she didn’t prioritize the client until it is almost too late to complete the work.
