1 - Link all your accounts. Go to MoviesAnywhere.com, login (or sign up), and link your Amazon, Vudu, Google, Apple iTunes, and FandangoNow. Any titles that are eligible will aggregate here and automatically populate to the other platforms.
2 - Add UV/MoviesAnywhere codes. Digital codes come in (labeled) discs you buy at the store. You can also obtain them via a number of outlets posted here and elsewhere. If you've bought the disc, the code doesn't cost you anything. Codes online can range in price from $2 to $10 or more depending on the popularity and rarity of the title.
3 - Do the Disc-to-Digital (D2D) thing. Used to be you'd have to insert the disc on a desktop/laptop drive and scan the title via the software. Now you can scan the bar code on the package with the app. It geo-locates you to keep you from going to Walmart and just scanning all the discs on the shelf. For titles that qualify, you scan the barcode to a bluray disc and turn it into a "HDX" movie for $2. A DVD will turn into an SD movie for $2. And a DVD will turn into an HDX movie for $5. There are... methods... to game this that I won't post here but reach out to me elsewhere to discuss.
