I always file a travel plan if I'm going out of the area. Got tired of Amex shutting me down.

Of course there was the day I charged in Walmart in Anaheim and they denied a charge a couple of miles down the road a few minutes later.
But that was apparently because Walmart's processing center is in Georgia.
