That's actually a reason why I think it holds up as a rewatchable film (spoilers)

but I like films where the 'hero' turns out to be anything but, granted the final third is pretty OTT in 3BB.
It's probably why I really love the recent movie 'Lady Macbeth' as you can measure your moral guidelines by when in the film you stop supporting the lead character.
