The man who makes six figures rating dogs
|
At just 21, Matt Nelson is making in the “six-figure range” by rating dogs on Twitter.
Nelson runs WeRateDogs, a lighthearted Twitter account which rates people’s pups on a 10-out-of-10 scale – but keeping in mind that every dog is beyond perfect, he scores each above a 10.
Dropping out of university and making a living off his Twitter account was never the goal. But after it launched in 2015, WeRateDogs soon started taking up hours of his day and attention away from his studies. When he decided to set up a website where he could sell dog-related merchandise, inventory flew of the digital shelves.
Less than two years after opening the online store and a few meme-worthy tweets later, Nelson is now at the helm of a pup-loving empire.
