Tough for me to say, since I've been out of the computer specs game for nearly a decade. However, it seems alright-ish for that price.

I would consider adding an extra 4GB of ram after buying it, it sounds like it's expandable.

One thing that always concerns me about laptops is the layout of the keyboard and quality of the trackpad. I don't know what HP's trackpad record is. -- nm
