We wear them and like showing off what we have. Some sit in boxes because they're very rare and only get worn maybe a few times a year.

It's just like any other fashion piece people have in their closet. You may not wear it every day but you've got some nice clothes you break out for parties, events, etc. Same with sneakers. We have general release pairs that we wear every day and then we have the rare, limited edition pairs that are for those special days.

Sneakerheads enjoy breaking out an old, rare pair for the other sneakerheads to see them wearing.

It's not like Funkos in that sneakers aren't just a collectible to sit on a shelf. They actually have a use even if people keep them like collectibles.
