They are being idiots over this and nobody could have foreseen that this was going to be their choice of fight to pick. But...

....It isn't good that no allies are rallying around Canada. This event is definitely showing the Canadian foreign presence is a little isolating without the USA bigger brother to have our back.
As Canadians, we probably will nod and say, "Well sure, that was obvious before this event," but I think we should probably figure out a strategy for a more isolated United States.
