When I was a senior in HS and my brother came home from the Naval Academy, a friend came over to see me.

My brother asked him what he was going to do after HS. My friend said he was looking at joining the Coast Guard.
My brother asked "Are you over 6 feet tall?"
My friend said "Yes, why?"
My brother said "Its a rule in the Coast Guard that everyone has to be over six feet tall. That way, if your ship sinks, everyone can wade to shore"
