Truth is we can run basic CAD on even the cheapest laptop

Good: Intel graphics (but won't be very good)
Better: Any Nvidia graphics, gaming laptops being much better
Best: Workstation class laptops

HP workstation laptops (www8.hp.com)

yeah. I run more intensive CAD-like things on laptops all the time. we basically use HP zbooks, NVIDIA graphics, all the RAM we can cram in them. -- nm - mafic Aug 9, 19:35

- If she's just viewing, I'd think any laptop with a big screen and nvidia graphics would be fine. It really isn't until you try to do hard core renders - oblique Aug 9, 13:53 1
