If any STer is 55+ or knows someone who is, T-Mobile has a sweet deal for 2 lines - $35 for each line, $45 to upgrade to T-Mobile One. S8 is $199.

I've had Virgin Mobile for quite a while. My last plan upgrade put me at $35 per line plus tax & fees (roughly $79). T-Mobile rolls taxes and fees into the monthly price. My last Virgin phone is a Samsung J3 6, with Lollipop. I had unlimited calling and text and data up to 5G, after which they slow you down. If I wanted hotspot I had to pay extra for it.
I'd seen ads for Sprint's 55+ plans but the phones are out of my price range and there were catches in the fine print. That got me researching until I found the T-Mobile deal.
I bought 2 S8's today, financing them over 24 months. I paid a $50 per down payment. My monthly payment for unlimited calls/text/data/hotspot/unlimited GoGo (if I fly again)/HD video will be approx. $107 for 2 phones/2 lines. There are a few other extras, as well, that I wasn't getting from Virgin (I was paying them $79 for 2 lines).
You have to go to a store to set this plan up. The link refers to the basic plan before the upgrade. I might even get Netflix with the upgrade. The paperwork doesn't mention it but the T-Mobile One plan does. T-Mobile's website also said 1st S8 is $600, 2nd $199. That must have changed today because they had advertising in the store for $199 per S8.
