my cynical conspiracy is he has no concrete plans, did it to hurt the shorts, and has done just enough ass-covering to make it legal. -- nm

Except all this does is encourage the shorts, really, because now there’s clear downside risk with the possibility a deal doesn’t happen. -- (edited)
