I'm reading and ABC News report about the Taliban's attack on Ghazni and the editors/reporters at ABC felt it was important to drop this paragraph in
"The Taliban emerged out of the Afghan Civil War and took control of the country in the early 1990s, enforcing its strict interpretation of Sharia, or Islamic law. The Taliban regime ruled over some 90 percent of Afghanistan until late 2001, when the United States invaded the country to overthrow the Taliban and dismantle al-Qaeda after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks."
If, after all this time, we have to still tell people who the Taliban is....then the electorate is uninformed.
