(my little town) Tanker hauling grape juice rolls off interstate near Mountain Home
|
MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Idaho State Police investigate what caused a tanker carrying 5,000 gallons of grape juice to roll off Interstate 84 Thursday night.
ISP spokesman Tim Marsano said the crash occurred at about 7:45 p.m. just east of Mountain Home. The semi-truck traveled eastbound on the interstate when it drove through a fence and rolled.
The driver of the truck was taken to Saint Alphonsus in Boise with no serious injuries. About 20-30 feet of fence was destroyed. Because the crash was off the interstate, no travel lanes were blocked.
Marsano said a tow truck arrived before 11 p.m. but was unable to remove the truck. Law enforcement tapped of the area around the crash until a wrecker could come.
As of Friday morning, the cause of the crash was still unknown. The crash is still under investigation.
