In response to "Found it... the by polling booth location results at least. I don't know which ones faced closure except that one of them is Cuthbert Middle School -- (edited)" by Roger More

OK, I have the data now.

The information is correct - 5 of the 7 polling places that were proposed to close voted for Trump

Benevolence - R 171, D 81
Coleman - R 89 D 62
Carnegie - R 206 D 30
4th - R 74 D 12
Fountain Bridge - R 70 D 12

and

Springvale - R 55 D 112
Cuthbert Middle School - R 5 D 238

The two that would have remained open were Shellman R 175 D 314 and Cuthbert/Courthouse R 426 D 732.

So the info is technically correct.

But consider that these closures wouldn't affect everyone equally. People with access to a car would have had a 10 minute drive to vote, while people without access to a car (eg poor people, elderly people) would be less likely to vote.

If the people who vote R are also the people who own cars, then R votes would remain the same and D votes would drop.
