I mean, as big a deal as anywhere I guess. chook raffle is like a local community group fundraiser you might do at the bowls club.

I get it in a land where crocs chew chooks. Here though chooks come cheap.

They are cheap, which means you can raffle a lot of them in multiple draws. There are meat tray raffles as well (I’ve won both) -- nm

the only chook raffle I have seen was for (several) live chooks. urban chooks are a pretty big thing here. -- nm
