OK. Having just seen it, I'm positive that before today, I'd never seen 2001 on the big screen

The physical prints must be a nightmare for projectionists as the film opens with just music for few minutes. Black screen for frame after frame......
Seeing it a theatre reinforced some of the what the hell aspects of the film
There's no dialogue for 10-15 minutes? at the start and then again at the end
1968. The movie was released in 1968. The effects are amazing. Watching the credits, it seemed like there was 20-30 people involved with the technical aspects of things. Contrast that with the small armies of people working on a Marvel film
I've seen the movie before but on the big screen, the what the hell aspects of the ending really were: what the ever loving hell.
I was wondering if it would be worth the effort to get to Citywalk to see a 70mm print and seeing today in digital IMAX, I kind of do want to make that trip. (The ticket would already be paid for via A-List)
