Somewhat disconcerting discovery made this weekend

Apparently I can break into our (detached) garage with a screwdriver.
Which is good, because there’s no power to the motor, and the key doesn’t work.
Was able to unscrew the plate that holds the lock and disengage the door from the chain that way.

my next "targeted spend" is a garage door opener. (I leave mine unlocked all the time bc I don't have one.) -- nm

oh, my garage is detached. like you care but my dining room was converted from the original garage for the house.
