short answer - until the image becomes indistinguishable from real life. the issue right now is refresh rate - 60Hz is nice, but still recognizable

I have some content that broadcasts in both HD and 4k simultaneously ... I can mostly see the difference but it's not dramatic

4k is definitely a step up in image resolution, but even them, you're getting a very compressed version for transmission.

35mm has about a 4k resolution available. 70mm, much more, but it's rarer. Once we go beyond 4k, content is a big issue. -- nm

20mm is the pixel pitch, but direct view LED isn't exactly apples to oranges in comparison. -- nm
