That's just good management! Seriously though, there is a huge portion of the republican party that essentially views the government as a business.

We're the shareholders. Tax cut is like a dividend. Costs of running government is a cost that can be cut. That's why they're so drawn to the businessman politician. What they can't comprehend is that government has a different role than a business and that we're all essentially both shareholders and costs of government. They particularly don't like to see themselves as a "cost" regardless of the facts.
