there were all these instructions online about having to use third party backup solutions and bootloading (?) and I was super freaked out about it all. I tried to figure it out for a minute but I tend to be pretty cavalier about these things so after about ten minutes, I was like, fuckit, we'll just start from scratch.

so I went into settings and was like "erase this madness!!" and it did and then it turned back on and was like, "hey lady. there's a backup of this phone in the cloud. do you want to restore that?" and I said "oh sure" and my phone was perfect (minus 10GB of crap data files) this morning when I woke up.

why does the internet say it's so much harder than it is??
