Honestly I think that's silly. How could they not publish that? It is clearly newsworthy.

It's a self-serving piece of shit op-ed from someone a) trying to rationalize their behavior and b) who craves attention and wants an alibi for if/when this all goes to hell, but it's clearly newsworthy. Any newspaper would publish it.
