They have to anticipate the play.
Also - they don't have to predict who will play it - they just have to predict who it will be played for.
So - if you have the idol and you can either protect yourself or mandy - the holder of the nullifier has to predict who you will protect - not that it's you who plays it.
So, if you play it for mandy, but they played their nullifier on you - it's wasted.
ALSO - Probst will not even tell them it was played. It'll just be gone, as if it never happened.
That's the only issue I don't care for - there's no real risk to the nullifier player. So, if I play it incorrectly, it's ignored like it never happened and no one knows I was a duplicitous dbag. lol
