I get that. That's why it's tough. But recollections that are 35 years old are tough to corroborate. Especially in a highly charged political war.

Without real evidence and with so much time passed it becomes very difficult to substantiate and easy for someone to just make a claim to interfere with the process. I'm not saying that's happening here, but it can't be dismissed.
