I automatically think when an actor becomes a director and ALSO stars in the film - Vanity Vehicle.
Then they have to work to prove me otherwise. Affleck can make me think a movie is not about him
I think this was a complete 100% Vanity project for Coop and he cast Gaga cause he knew she would do okay but not knock it out of the park.
Also compared to the Streisand/Kristopherson movie which highlighted Streisand - this movie highlights the male role - In my opinion. I'm not mad about it, I think it show cased him and he did a great job acting *shrug*
I feel like I'm dogging this movie, am I overly critical. I love the story, the last song had me crying.
